What We Do
Our Current and Developing Programs

Women Only
English Program

We offer women-only English classes at pre-literate, early-literate, and ESL levels. Women-only classes create a comfortable learning environment for women from cultural backgrounds where learning among women feels safer and more comfortable, welcoming each woman where she is and inviting her into community and belonging.
Childcare and transportation are available as needed to ensure access for every learner.

Little Learners
Childcare Program
We provide a safe, nurturing space for children ages 0–5 while their mothers attend our classes, where trained helpers create a fun and developmentally supportive environment for children to play, learn, and feel secure. More than childcare, this time encourages early learning, healthy routines, and social development—helping each child transition confidently into preschool and kindergarten.

Home Care 101
In our Home Care 101 program, we walk alongside families as they move into affordable housing and begin caring for their new homes. Each family is paired with a Home Care Coach who uses our Home Care 101 curriculum to offer practical guidance and steady encouragement. Through simple, practical lessons, families gain confidence in caring for their homes. This program builds stability, dignity, and a strong foundation for the future.

Community Support
Starting over in a new country brings many
challenges—some immediate and others that arise over the years. Many neighbors come to us as a first stop when they aren’t sure where to turn.
We walk alongside them by connecting families to trusted community resources such as housing, food pantries, employment opportunities through Amplio, mental health services, immigration resources, and other practical supports.

Coming Fall 2026...
This Fall we hope to expand our English classes to better reflect the needs of the communities we serve. Planned options include classes for men, mixed-gender groups, and community-specific groups (such as Congolese or other African communities) when helpful. Classes will be offered at different learning levels, including both ESL and pre-literate opportunities. Classes may be held during the day or in the evening as needed.

Developing Programs
In response to the needs we’re hearing from families and neighbors, these are programs we are dreaming about and gently developing. While these offerings are not yet available, they reflect where we hope to grow next as resources allow.
